God aligns your desires with His as you read your Bible and walk in obedience to what He says.
The Potter’s Hand by Darlene Zschech
Take me, mold me, use me, fill me;
I give my life to the Potter’s hand.
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me;
I give my life to the Potter’s hand.
These are very powerful words. But for many years, I had no real understanding of what it would mean to give my life to God to use me as He pleased.
I felt that if I gave God everything, He would make me go to some far-off place as a missionary. I would hate every minute of it as I forced myself to follow Him.
But I came to realize this was a distorted view of my wonderful Heavenly Father. The more I got to know Him, the more I realized that it wasn’t so much about me and what I wanted, but about Him and what He wanted me to do.
He looks at me and is able to see where He wants me to be in the future. Then He starts the work to grow and mature me so that I can accomplish what He desires.
Along the way, He opens my mind and heart to see the direction He is leading. Then I will be ready to do what He has called me to do.
His plan will no longer be a heavy burden that I must carry out each day. As God empowers and equips me to carry out His work, I will be excited to do it.
Now I can see what I couldn’t see before. I looked at things through my own earthly eyes and tried to do things in my own power.
God has an awesome job for you to do, but it takes being willing to step out of your comfort zone. You may feel like you are walking into the unknown, but you won’t be.
God aligns your desires with His. He can see every step of the way and knows exactly where He is leading you.
Don’t be afraid to place your life into the Potter’s Hands and let Him mold and shape you into a believer in Christ who can do great and mighty works for God.
