Don’t give Satan entrance into your life in any way. If you give him even the smallest of places, he will work tirelessly to make it into a huge gaping hole.
Have you ever had a feeling you should not do a particular thing even though it looked like it might be an awesome opportunity?
If you are a believer in Christ, the Holy Spirit lives inside you and wants to give you guidance each day. You can never depend on feelings alone to help you make right decisions for your life.
The Holy Spirit can warn you of traps Satan has planted to steer you off course. Some traps are easy to recognize. Others are very discreet. You may not know you have walked into one until you are in so deep that it is hard to turn around and get out.
Sometimes others try to warn us we are going down the wrong path, but we fail to listen. Satan loves to keep you trapped by pride so you will never be able to admit you are wrong.
Before you start your day, ask the Holy Spirit to make you sensitive to hear His Voice. And make the choice to listen and obey Him.
If you have grave doubts about a situation, pray hard about what to do.
It may be that you are supposed to walk away, no matter how good an opportunity looks. The Holy Spirit is very good at showing you that something is wrong, but you must listen to Him.
It must grieve the heart of God. Too many times we feel that we shouldn’t do a particular thing, but we do it anyway. Then sometimes we have to pay a heavy price for our actions.
Don’t give Satan any entrance at all into your life.
