Your Actions Cause Ripples To Flow Outward

your actions are like ripples over water

Your actions cause ripples to flow outward from your life just like the drop of water that falls into a pond or lake.

your actions are like ripples over water
One drop of water makes ripples spread outward as it falls from above

This makes me think about decisions I make and the consequences that go with them. Will my ripples continue to spread outward with good things? Will your actions spread outward with good things also?

You are the drop of water in the middle. Only you can decide about the effects of the ripples that spread out around you.

None of us want to think that a major decision made TODAY can have good or bad effects for years to come. And it is only a few years down the road that you may be able to see how your decision turned out.

You may remember making the decision and hoping that everything would be fine. It may have been made based on your best guess at the time. And it was after you had collected as many facts as possible.

There are everyday choices you make that won’t matter 20 years from now. But some of the big decisions will matter greatly. For those you need to choose wisely.

If you have believed on Jesus as Savior and accepted Him as your Lord, you don’t have to make major or minor decisions on your own. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you in everything you do.

You just have to learn how to hear Him speak to you. He always has your best interest at heart and would never lead you astray.

John 16: 13-14 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
If you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in everyday decisions, you will automatically seek His guidance for BIG decisions.

God has a plan for the life of every Christian. He wants to use you to do great things for Him. Please allow Him to use you as He chooses. Always remember that your actions cause ripples that flow outward.
