Don’t Conform To The Values Of The World

don't conform to the values of the world

Don’t conform to the values of the world. Impact the world around you instead of letting it impact you.

don't conform to the values of the world
The only way to impact the world around you is to daily renew your mind in Christ. This will change your life completely.
Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

You have to live in this world, and do all the things that humans do on a daily basis. Jesus lived here with His family, worked here, and carried on His ministry here.

You are to live here, but the Bible says don’t conform to the values and morals of the world. God wants to renew your mind so that your thoughts and actions align with His.

He has a plan. And when your mind is renewed to think on the things of God, you will desire more to carry out His plan than your own.

You won’t allow others to keep you from accomplishing His plan. When He transforms your mind, your sights will be set on new and different things.

Many times those who haven’t heard from God will tell you their opinion. And they will do what they can to make you follow their advice.

But if you listen to them God won’t be able to use you in the way He desires.

He does not work in the same way you think He should. And His plan will always be better than yours.

John Wesley, Martin Luther, Dwight Moody, and Charles Surgeon walked in obedience to what they felt God had called them to do. They wouldn’t be swayed by the opinions of others. If they had, God could never have used them to impact the world in the way that He did.

There will always be people who will never impact the world themselves. But they will do whatever they can to keep you from making a real impact.

If Jesus had people who tried to discourage Him, surely it won’t be different for you. But the more you seek to have a relationship with God, the easier it will be to follow His direction wholeheartedly.

Then the opinions of others won’t mean nearly as much as they once did.
