God Wants You To Do Things His Way

God wants you to do things His way

God wants you to do things His Way. He wants you to use His strength, His ability, and His power so that His Glory can be revealed through you.

God wants you to choose to do things His way
I Corinthians 1: 27-29 27. For God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame.
28. And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are,
29. So that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence of God.

These verses in I Corinthians 1: 27-29 DO NOT mean that God only chooses to use you if you are a stupid or ignorant person who has no learning.

This talks about the criteria GOD chooses. This person isn’t bound up in all the shallow values and morals of the world. They have realized there are far better things to build a solid foundation upon. AND THE MAIN THING… God gets all the glory for whatever He does and whomever He chooses to use.

The world has a very distorted set of values for what it thinks is important. And if you don’t agree with the world’s values, you can be branded as weak, insignificant, and even looked upon with contempt.

Some want to be popular with the world at any cost. But this world, and what seems so important today, will one day be no more.

If you are living life this way, you are being deceived as to the truth of what is most important.

The only way to do something that will have a lasting effect is to give God control and learn to hear Him when He speaks.

God sees you in a totally different way than you see yourself. He knows what you are capable of doing WITH HIS HELP.
  • AND… HE ONLY WANTS YOU TO DO IT WITH HIS HELP!
  • AND… you will never be able to accomplish what He wants you to do in your own power.

He can see everything about your life:

  • the most strength you are capable of having
  • the most endurance you can stand under pressure
  • how far your limits will reach in any given situation
  • how much stamina you have before you can’t take it anymore.

God wants you to use His strength, ability and power to do what He has called you to do.

In fact, He does not want you to be able to accomplish it on your own. He will tell you to do things you are not capable of doing on your own. Then He can receive all the glory in what you are able to accomplish.

In the Bible, God consistently told people to do things they were totally incapable of doing on their own. They felt overwhelmed even thinking about how they would accomplish such huge undertakings.

But God knew exactly what they could be capable of with HIS power and HIS strength added to their own.

He chooses ordinary people like you and me who want to know and obey Him. Who knows what extraordinary way He will choose to use you if you just obey Him?

Vs. 25 says “…the foolish thing [that has its source in] God is wiser than men, and the weak thing [that springs] from God is stronger than men.

So, will you listen and obey if God chooses to work through you to do something impossible? (or what you think is impossible)

Many of the Israelites missed Jesus because they were expecting a Savior in the form of a leader who would defeat the enemies around them and give them peace again.

God had worked in that way numerous times before, but this time He had a much better plan in mind.

OH, if we could only see things from God’s perspective!
We would have no problem stepping out on faith even when we didn’t understand exactly what He was doing.

Will you open your mind and heart to hear and obey? God wants you to do things His Way?

The closer your relationship with Him, the easier it will be to trust Him when you can’t see the way ahead.
